“The Leadership Development Program at Western & Southern Financial Group is a tremendous opportunity. The rotations allow LDP Associates to experience several different areas of the organization while making a significant impact through projects that are of primary importance to the business unit and organization as a whole. For the company, the result is the development of well-rounded future leaders. For me, experiencing different areas of the organization first-hand provides the opportunity to truly understand our different businesses and identify opportunities I may want to pursue after completion of the Leadership Development Program.

 

During my time in business school I evaluated many rotational programs. Most speak of exposure to senior management, working on projects/tasks important to the business, and mentorship. In my opinion, none were as dynamic as Western & Southern Financial Group’s LDP. Browse through the profiles of LDP Associates and Interns, and you get a good sense of the caliber of projects led and the exposure that comes from working on high-profile assignments. Since beginning my first rotation, I have been continuously challenged with a variety of diverse projects designed to utilize the diverse skill set I attained in business school.

 

Mentorship is something that Western & Southern Financial Group takes quite seriously. I have the honor or learning directly from a president of a Western & Southern Financial Group company. His mentorship has contributed to both my personal and professional development and provided invaluable guidance in navigating the organization and overcoming challenges in each rotation. In addition to being assigned an official mentor from senior management, LDP Associates have the opportunity to learn from Officers and other senior leaders who care about your development and success. Despite being a Fortune 500 company, Western & Southern Financial Group has the feel of a smaller organization with a family environment. With a support system of this level, important projects to work on that drive change and provide high-level exposure to senior management, and the strength of the company illustrated by its resilience during this challenging economic environment, I am very excited about my future at Western & Southern Financial Group.”
