A Dynamic Training Ground for Business Leaders

The Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a highly selective career track designed to develop top MBA graduates for senior management positions within Western & Southern Financial Group, a diversified financial services corporation with more than $47 billion in assets owned, managed, and under our care.

The two branches of LDP – the full-time program for LDP Associates and summer assignments for LDP Interns – enable MBA graduates and current MBA students to make a strategic impact, achieve high visibility, and sharpen their leadership ability.

Through invaluable advanced experience inside a world-class financial services corporation, LDP Associates and Interns will:

  • work on broad-based, challenging, strategic assignments
  • gain exposure to a variety of business units/subsidiaries
  • develop reporting and mentoring relationships with senior management

After successfully completing three years in the program, our LDP Associates are promoted to officer positions in Western & Southern Financial Group companies.

Learn more about how our unique senior management mentoring shapes and matures future business leaders within the Leadership Development Program.

Matt Loveless

LDP Alumnus

One of my most challenging LDP Associate rotations was leading a consulting engagement with Western & Southern Agency Group tasked to review agency distribution operations and compensation. This rotation, in turn, led to the opportunity to lead the design and implementation of a new compensation plan for all agency sales representatives and managers. This assignment was challenging, but the plan was implemented successfully and on time. Throughout this experience, I continually leveraged my MBA knowledge. The educational experience provided reference points and best practices that I drew upon to lead an innovative design and execution process.

Western & Southern Financial Group is one of the eight strongest life insurance groups
in the world based on Standard & Poor's AA+ rating. Rating current as of August 2010.
