Career
Jon Westerman is a Vice President, Portfolio Manager and Head of Investment Grade Research for the firm’s Investment Grade Credit Asset-Liability Management and Total Return investment strategies. He has fundamental credit responsibilities for all of the firm’s Energy Infrastructure (Midstream Energy / Pipelines, Power and Utilities), Investment Grade, and Leveraged Credit investments.
Westerman joined the firm in 2012 and has served in various capacities in fixed income including Investment Grade and High Yield credit research, alternative credit investments, trading, portfolio management, and quantitative risk modeling and analysis. Prior to joining Fort Washington, Westerman served in various roles within Fort Washington’s parent company, Western & Southern Financial Group, since 2006.
Westerman began his career as an Associate in the Audit & Risk Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) where he was responsible for planning and executing audit and risk advisory services for both public and private clients across multiple industries, with a focus on Power and Utilities.
Education & Designations
Westerman has a BS, Accounting and Decision Science & Information Systems (magna cum laude), from the University of Kentucky and an MBA, Finance, from Xavier University. He holds the CFA and a CPA professional designations.
