49th Annual Western & Southern/ WEBN Fireworks to Light Up Cincinnati Riverfront on Aug. 31

Cincinnati’s end-of-summer tradition is set to blast off on Aug. 31 as the Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks Show lights up the sky over the Ohio River. Marking its 49th year, the event is expected to draw about 500,000 attendees to the city’s riverfront for the local Labor Day weekend tradition.

The 30-minute Rozzi's Famous Fireworks show will cap off the Riverfest celebration and is synchronized to a soundtrack curated by local radio station WEBN (102.7 FM), an affiliate of iHeart Media. The family friendly spectacle is one of the largest Labor Day weekend events in Cincinnati and a cornerstone of the city’s cultural calendar.

"It is hard to believe the W&S/WEBN Fireworks show has been lighting up our skyline for 49 years, and it just keeps getting better. Thanks to the incredible teams at iHeartMedia, Local 12 and Rozzi Fireworks, this Cincinnati tradition continues to wow crowds and bring our community together year after year.," said John F. Since becoming the co-title sponsor in 2015, Western & Southern has helped elevate the impact of the event – not only as a celebration, but a powerful force for good. Last year’s Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks raised $1 million for the Freestore Foodbank, which is equal to more than 3 million meals for families in need.
