Western & Southern Financial Group ranked 21st among the top 100 companies on Forbes’ 2026 list of America’s Best Midsize Employers, up 74 spots over 2025.
Of the employers ranked, Western & Southern was second in the Banking and Financial Services category and fourth in Ohio. It also ranked highest among the five companies headquartered in Southwest Ohio.
What is Forbes’ America’s Best Midsize Employers list?
The annual ranking is developed through a partnership between Forbes and market research firm Statista, which surveyed more than 217,000 employees working at companies within the U.S. Those with 1,000 to 5,000 employees were considered for the midsize ranking.
Surveyed respondents evaluated their employers anonymously based on factors such as:
- Work environment
- Talent development programs
- Advancement opportunities
- Likelihood to recommend their employer to others
