Ten University of Cincinnati students were recognized as part of the Western & Southern Scholars Program for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Ten University of Cincinnati students were recognized in April at the 1819 Innovation Hub as recipients of scholarships through the Western & Southern Scholars Program.

The program supports graduates of Cincinnati regional high schools who are active on campus and engaged with UC’s College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies to advance their careers before graduation.

University of Cincinnati faculty and students joined Western & Southern leadership to recognize the cohort of scholars.

“Western & Southern is proud to invest in emerging talent in our region through our partnership with the University of Cincinnati,” said Jill McGruder, senior vice president and enterprise chief marketing officer at Western & Southern Financial Group and vice chair of the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees. “Through our partnership with UC, students get real-world experience, structured training, and coaching that will prepare them for their careers long after graduation.”

Through initiatives like the Scholars Program, Western & Southern continues to support the next generation of talent and strengthen the future workforce in Greater Cincinnati.
