The Cincinnati Open once again brought world-class tennis to Greater Cincinnati, continuing a tradition that has connected the region with the sport’s top players for more than a century.
In 2026, Western & Southern marked its 25th year of supporting the Cincinnati Open, continuing a partnership that began with the 2002 tournament. Today, Western & Southern is the tournament’s longest-running cornerstone partner.

This year marked the tournament’s 127th year in Cincinnati. The ATP Tour and WTA Tour 1000 event ran Aug. 8-23, with match play taking place Aug. 11-23.
For the second straight year, the tournament featured an expanded 12-day schedule and 96-player singles and 32-player doubles fields. Its transformed venue, completed in 2025 as part of a $260 million investment, doubled the site’s footprint and helped attract a record 285,000 fans from all 50 states and 65 countries.
Last year’s Cincinnati Open was named both the ATP Tour 1000-Level Tournament of the Year and WTA Tour 1000-Level Tournament of the Year, with both honors voted on by the players themselves.
Western & Southern’s 25-year history with the Cincinnati Open
Western & Southern has supported the Cincinnati Open since 2002. The company served as title sponsor through 2023 before transitioning to a cornerstone partnership in 2024 to allow for broader corporate support.
Today, Western & Southern is the Cincinnati Open’s longest-running cornerstone partner, and one of six cornerstone partners supporting the event.
