Gerber Life’s growing financial strength and creditworthiness have been recognized with higher ratings from AM Best. The independent rating agency upgraded Gerber Life’s Financial Strength Rating to A+ (Superior) from A (Excellent) and its Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating to aa (Superior) from a+ (Excellent).
AM Best also affirmed the FSR of A+ (Superior) and the Long-Term ICR of aa (Superior) of Western & Southern’s six other life insurance subsidiaries: The Western and Southern Life Insurance Company, Western-Southern Life Assurance Company, Columbus Life Insurance Company, The Lafayette Life Insurance Company, Integrity Life Insurance Company and National Integrity Life Insurance Company.
AM Best is the largest credit agency in the world specializing in the insurance industry. In its rating commentary about Gerber Life, AM Best stated, “The ratings of Gerber Life reflect its balance sheet strength, which AM Best assesses as very strong, as well as its adequate operating performance, neutral business profile and very strong enterprise risk management (ERM). The ratings of Gerber Life also reflect implicit support from the greater organization, W&SF Group.”
