Ride Cincinnati, the city’s leading grassroots cycling fundraiser, kicks off on Friday, Sept. 13. Over 600 riders, including 190 Western & Southern associates, family, and friends, will be taking part in this impactful event.>
Western & Southern has proudly supported Ride Cincinnati since its inception in 2007, with our associates actively engaging through volunteering, fundraising, and riding. The sponsorship plays a crucial role in the larger mission to help the University of Cincinnati Barrett Cancer Center achieve National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation.
“To build the kind of cancer center we want [and need] requires resources,” University of Cincinnati Barrett Cancer Center Co-Director Dr. William Barrett said. “Corporate support helps us raise funds to pilot projects for cancer research, getting us closer to obtaining the designation.”
The 2024 event begins with a kick-off party at The Phelps Hotel on Friday, Sept. 13. The ride departs on Saturday, Sept. 14, from Sawyer Point with routes ranging from 10 to 64 miles.
