Western & Southern Financial Group (Western & Southern) Chief Information Officer Karen A. Chamberlain is a recipient of the 2016 Global CIO Breakaway Leadership Award.

The Breakaway Leadership Award honors CIOs and senior security executives who demonstrate exceptional leadership. Qualified CIOs were nominated by their peers, describing how their business impact drives results across the C-suite and the enterprise. A distinguished voting panel chose 10 finalists, and attendees at the Global CIO Executive Summit voted to determine five 2016 Breakaway Leadership Award recipients.

Chamberlain attended DePaul University in Chicago. She holds FINRA Series 6 and 26 licenses. Her career spans nearly 30 years in information technology and operations with assignments at Allstate Insurance Company, JPMorgan Chase and The Hartford Insurance Group.
She lives with her husband, Gene, in Indian Hill. They have two adult children – Alex and Liz.
