When teams work together with a clear focus on customers, the results can be felt across our business. Western & Southern Financial Group was recently recognized with two Stevie Awards, recognizing associates whose collaboration and commitment help deliver on our customer promise.
Western & Southern earned a Gold Stevie Award for Contact Center of the Year (Over 100 Seats) in the Financial Services Industries category and a Bronze Stevie Award for Cross-Functional Sales Collaboration Team of the Year.
These awards recognize two teams with a shared strength: bringing people together to create better experiences for customers.
Making it easier for customers to do business with us
The gold-winning Enterprise Engagement Center (EEC) continues to evolve to meet customer needs with care, consistency and responsiveness. By centralizing service operations and support across our family of companies, the team has helped create a more connected customer experience while also opening doors for associates to learn, contribute and grow.
“Our teams are focused on truly understanding what our customers need,” said Paul Moore, senior vice president and chief customer officer of Western & Southern Financial Group. “Their talent and dedication, combined with continuous training and innovation shaped by real customer feedback, make it easier to do business with us. I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
Growing the next generation of talent
Western & Southern’s Bronze Stevie Award recognizes its Remote Sites Initiative, a collaboration with our subsidiary Gerber Life Insurance Company that brings teams together to support customers while creating opportunities for emerging talent.
The Western & Southern Accelerated Career Program (ACP) at the University of Cincinnati enables students to gain real-world customer service and sales experience while working hours that fit their class schedules.
Through hands-on work, coaching and professional development, the program helps students develop business, communication and customer-facing skills while still in school. Students in the program can graduate with more than a degree – they also earn their life and health license, a credential that can help them stand out early in their careers.
“This program is designed not only to support customers, but also to give students a meaningful head start in their careers,” said Jim Vitali, assistant vice president of the Enterprise Engagement Center Remote Sites Initiative. “This is just a first step for them – many of the students graduate and begin their professional career with us in different areas of the business.”
Why this recognition matters
These award-winning efforts reflect what is possible when associates are empowered to grow, lead and win in ways that also do good for others. Whether by improving service, strengthening collaboration or helping emerging talent build meaningful careers, these teams represent Western & Southern at its best.
