Mark Militello Rejoins Fort Washington

Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc. has named Mark Militello vice president and co-portfolio manager of the Small Company Equity strategy.

Militello, who has more than 30 years of industry experience, will be responsible for the investment process and portfolio construction of the Small Company Equity strategy. He will report to Jason Ronovech, CFA, vice president and senior portfolio manager. Militello will be based in the firm’s Albany, N.Y., office.

Militello rejoined Fort Washington after spending four years at Thrivent Asset Management, where he served as senior portfolio manager on the SMID Growth Equity team. Previously, he joined Fort Washington in 2017 as part of the acquisition of Sentinel Group Funds by Fort Washington affiliate Touchstone Investments. He served as vice president and senior equity research manager for Sentinel from 2015 to 2017, and subsequently held the same role at Fort Washington from 2017 to 2022. 

Earlier in his career, Militello was senior research analyst, portfolio manager, and director of research at Weatherbie Capital, LLC. He was a co-lead portfolio manager for the Weatherbie Long/Short Fund and co-portfolio manager of the Weatherbie long-only Specialized Growth Institutional Fund. Prior to Weatherbie, Militello was a research analyst at Paradigm Capital Management. 

A CFA charterholder, Militello earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from the University of Connecticut.
